What can pet parents do in the portal?
Everything an owner usually phones the clinic for, from the phone they already use for WhatsApp.
Vaccine card for every pet
Each vaccine and deworming with the date given, valid-until and next due date, straight from the chart.
QR vaccination certificate
One tap opens the current certificate that kennels, groomers and housing societies can scan.
Book within vet hours
Owners pick a consult, vaccination, video consult or home visit from free slots in each vet's working hours. Signed-in owners are booked straight in.
Prescriptions and visit notes
Rx with dose, frequency and days, and the visit summaries the vet chose to send, in the owner's language.
Lab results the vet shares
Results appear only after the vet shares them, with units, reference ranges and flags.
Bills and UPI pay links
Open invoices with a pay button that opens GPay, PhonePe, Paytm or BHIM with the amount filled in.
How do owners sign in safely?
A link alone never shows records. Reception sends each owner a personal link on WhatsApp from the owner's page in Pet Clinic Software. When the owner opens it, the page shows only the clinic name and the owner's initials until they type the last 4 digits of their mobile number and solve a captcha. Five wrong tries lock that link for an hour, and every unlock is logged.
Owners can also set a password inside the portal and sign in later with their mobile number, password and a captcha. A portal session ends after 30 minutes without activity and is completely separate from staff logins. If a phone is lost, reception makes a new link in one click and the old one stops working.
Owners control their own messages: language (English, Tamil or Hindi), WhatsApp or SMS, and opt-out. They can download everything the clinic holds about them as a file and send an erasure request, which supports your duties under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023. Set vet hours
Enter each vet's working hours and days off. Online slots come only from these hours.
Invite owners
Press "Invite on WhatsApp" on an owner's page, or invite at the counter after a visit.
Share results and notes
Tick "Share with owner" on a lab result and send visit summaries after you review them.
Get paid by link
Bills sent on WhatsApp carry a pay link to your own UPI ID; owners report the UTR if needed.

Frequently asked questions
Is the pet parent app a Play Store app?
No. It is an installable web app: owners open the link on any phone and can add it to the home screen, where it opens like an app. There is nothing to download or update, and it works on Android and iPhone browsers. A native store app is not offered.
What does a pet owner need to sign in?
The personal link the clinic sends on WhatsApp, plus the last 4 digits of their own mobile number and a captcha. Owners who set a password can later sign in with mobile number and password. Wrong guesses lock the link for an hour.
Can owners see everything in the medical record?
No. Owners see vaccines, the QR certificate, prescriptions, visits, bills, lab results the vet has shared and visit notes the vet has sent. Internal SOAP notes, drug registers and staff comments stay inside the clinic.
Does the portal cost extra?
No. The pet-parent portal is included in every Pet Clinic Software plan, from ₹1,499 a month for the Clinic plan. Only WhatsApp and SMS messages are charged at cost from the prepaid wallet, about ₹0.13 per WhatsApp message.
